Welcome to this little space I've created here. I’m so glad you’ve found me. I look forward to sharing my story with you, and hearing yours as well.
I originally created this blog for a creative writing course in college as a means to document my writings for my professor. Since then, it's become a way to share my story, to document my everyday life, both in words and in photos. I’ve come to learn the importance of sharing our stories, of gaining the sense of support and community that’s released with each one told. I believe our stories are bundled with power and wisdom and strength and I feel this intense draw to hearing of others’ lessons and paths.
I'm a slightly-recent college graduate navigating my way through this confusing period, happily drifting away from fear-based days and making my way toward ones of faith, inspiration, strength, and light. As I gain clarity and support and determination for this new path, I’m slowly making space for new interests and striding towards what it is that makes me feel most awake and alive. I work as a freelance photographer and writer, and a daycare teacher extraordinaire.
I find solace and inspiration in Mary Oliver poems and sunny days, rivers and woods and the moon, exploring my creative self and slow mornings with tea, witnessing those who live authentically and standing amidst trees.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking part in this community. You can reach me at ruthwritesblog {at} gmail {dot} com.
Be well and happy reading.
